Report on STEM DLD Expert-Led
In a resplendent celebration of innovation, inquiry, and imagination, K.L. International School, Meerut, hosted the prestigious CBSE STEM DLD Expert-Led Session on 12th July 2025. The event marked a transformative moment in the realm of school education, championing the power of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics as instruments of 21st-century change.
The Management and the Principal of K.L. International School, Meerut welcomed the Chief Guest Mrs. Poonam Sachdeva, Joint Secretary and Head, Centre of Excellence (COE), CBSE, Noida. Madam inaugurated the session and shared words of deep wisdom. Her address was a guiding light, emphasizing the importance of fostering curiosity and creativity through STEM in young learners.
This impactful programme was initiated by Director (Training), CBSE, Mr. Manoj Kumar Srivastava, whose visionary leadership has laid the foundation for enriching teacher training modules aligned with the NEP 2020 and the CBSE directive (Notification No. TRG-3/2025 dated 01.04.2025). His commitment to transforming education through structured STEM-based interventions has been instrumental in conceptualizing and steering this initiative.
The day witnessed thought-provoking insights delivered by four eminent experts, who elevated the learning experience with their dynamic expertise:
🔹 Dr. Arijit Chowdhuri Professor, Department of Physics, University of Delhi Title: STEM Learning in School: A Foundation for Innovation and Growth Dr. Chowdhuri emphasized how early exposure to STEM fuels innovation, builds scientific temper, and lays the groundwork for a future-ready generation.
🔹 Dr. Chaman Singh Professor, Department of Mathematics, University of Delhi Title: Empowering Young Minds: The Magic of STEM in School Education Dr. Singh beautifully explained the vision of future education, inspiring educators to make education magical.
🔹 Dr. Anuj Kumar Professor, Department of Physics, CCS University, Meerut Title: From Classrooms to Climate Action: STEM as a Catalyst for Change His session linked STEM learning with global sustainability, showing how classrooms can become the cradle of climate consciousness.
🔹 Dr. Kavita Sharma Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, CCS University, Meerut Title: Enhanced STEM Competencies and 21st Century Skills Dr. Sharma highlighted the integration of STEM education with collaboration, critical thinking, communication, and creativity—the pillars of 21st-century learning.

Deputy Director, Handloom Centre, Meerut, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India
Title: Tradition Meets Technology: Weaving STEM into India’s Cultural Fabric. He emphasized the powerful role of technology in preserving traditional crafts and creating sustainable livelihoods, thereby highlighting the relevance of STEM even in cultural and artisanal sectors.
A significant milestone of the day was the website launch by Chief Guest COE Noida, Mrs. Poonam Sachdeva, symbolizing the digital leap in education and the school's commitment to innovation.
The presence of Deputy DTC Mr. Gopal Dixit and City Coordinator Mrs. Sapna Ahuja added significance to the event.
The event drew the Principals of the city’s most reputed schools, including around 60 Science & Mathematics passionate participants from premier institutions across Meerut, creating a vibrant learning community under one roof.
The visionary Principal of K.L. International School and District Training Coordinator Mr. Sudhanshu Shekhar, in his address, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the experts, participants, and special guests. He reiterated the school’s dedication to nurturing scientifically skilled, ethically aware, and future-ready learners through such enriching platforms.
